八福の教え

まことに、わたしのもとに来る心の貧しい人々は、幸いである。天の王国は彼らのものだからである。

また、悲しむ人々は皆、幸いである。彼らは慰められるからである。

柔和な人々は、幸いである。彼らは地を受け継ぐからである。

義に飢え渇いている人々は皆、幸いである。彼らは聖霊に満たされるからである。

憐れみ深い人々は、幸いである。彼らは憐れみを受けるからである。

心の清い人々は皆、幸いである。彼らは神を見るからである。

平和をつくり出す人々は皆、幸いである。彼らは神の子と呼ばれるからである。

わたしの名のために迫害される人々は皆、幸いである。天の王国は彼らのものだからである。

Yea, blessed are the poor in spirit who come unto me, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

And again, blessed are all they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

And blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

And blessed are all they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost.

And blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

And blessed are all the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

And blessed are all the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

And blessed are all they who are persecuted for my name’s sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

豊かな人、
楽しい人、
力強い人、
満たされている人、
そんな人々こそが幸せだと
思われがちですが、
まったく違った考え方も
出来るかもしれません。
いつ、どこで、どんな報いがあるか、
最後までわからないものです。
